1. Reservations & Travel Documentation

Visit the Trips section on our website and select the trip you would like to book. Click on Request More Info button and submit your booking or enquiry. Alternatively, you may submit an online enquiry under Contact Us. We will acknowledge your booking/enquiry request and get in contact with you.

Fairy Chimneys Travel welcomes groups of any size. If a group of six or more guests travel together then we may offer a negotiable discount on the land-only portion of your tour. If you have a group of friends then it pays to get yourselves together and book as one group! Our discounts are offered automatically at the time of booking subject to a discount or sale available. Discount types are; group discount, early bird discount, loyalty program discount.

If you are a solo traveller with Fairy Chimneys Travel and prefer to have your own room then you can book and pay for the added single supplement (see below).

The single supplement is the added price you pay to guarantee a single-room during the course of your tour.

Yes, all our tour prices are quoted on a two people sharing a twin-room.

Yes. Pre and Post tour airport transfers are included unless otherwise requested.

Absolutely. We are a tour operator with local offices on the ground in all our destinations. Please contact your travel agent and ask them to use our Agent Portal to create your trip with us. We also allow direct contact and make ourselves available to you for flights, trips, travel insurance, train/ferry tickets and anything you require in offering you a complete travel package.

International flights are not included in our tour prices. Some tours will have domestic flights and these are included in our prices. We can also book your international flights, please mention this at the time of your enquiry and we can separately quote flights.

There is no minimum or maximum time to book our trips as they are custom design programs. Our advice is that when you know which trip you want to book, don’t delay – put your name down as soon as possible, that way you won’t be disappointed. You can nominate the dates, length of your trip at your choice.

The final payment is due in full 45 days before the departure of your trip. If you’ve booked your trip within 45 days of the departure date, full payment is needed at that time to confirm your tour.

The included meals provided whilst on tour will provide you with a balanced diet and are based on local foods and menus. In all these cases we can accommodate guests who prefer a vegetarian diet and can often assist with diabetic and other medically recommended diets. Please advise us of any dietary requirements at time of your booking.

All our documents are electronic and are made available immediately after your balance payment is made. If your travel plans mean that you might potentially be away already prior to this time then please inform us at the time of your booking.

It is highly recommended that you have comprehensive travel insurance. We suggest you to be adequately insured before participating in our tours. Please check the terms of the policy carefully, particularly with regard to limits of cover (eg for replacement of photographic equipment, baggage loss, etc) and the procedure for making claims (for example, most policies stipulate that claims must be made within a certain time after completion of your journey). Your policy MUST cover medical costs in case of hospitalization, emergency travel and repatriation. We strongly recommend a policy which also covers Covid-19. Once you have paid your deposit or full payment, certain fees will apply if you cancel your holiday. Insurance should therefore be organised at the time of booking to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances that would require you to cancel before travelling.

2. Whilst on Tour

We use a special VIP Van or Coach that allows much more legroom for our guests.

At Fairy Chimneys Travel we understand that you don’t want to see Turkey only through the windows of a coach nor be rushed through the sites visited. For that reason our aim has been to reduce the length of typical travel days. The tours are basically designed to reduce the length of driving days in comparison with most other tour companies. On the occasional long day where we travel relatively long distances, our trips are organised to make travelling as convenient and efficient as possible with interesting stops and or scenery. The journey between different parts of a country or region is sometimes a highlight of a trip, with interesting and spectacular landscapes encountered en route.

There is NO luggage weight limit on our tours and you may also bring one piece of carry-on. We work with your luggage allowance as per your flights, we also increase the luggage allowance on all the domestic flights to match your international flights. Make sure you tell us if you need more luggage space at the time of booking. Leave some space in your luggage though – you’ll no doubt want to bring home some souvenirs from the cities and places you visit! Each airline has specific rules as to luggage allowances – check directly with them or ask your travel consultant to confirm for you.

We recommend boutique hotels where the property has charm and character versus to standard city hotels. Of those we have picked hotels in each location that we believe offer the best combination of quality and location. Fairy Chimneys Travel hotels are consistently of first class standard and higher or in a style appropriate to the destination. They have been selected because they are great private or small collection hotels. As all our tours are custom designed, you will have a say in the selection of hotels. We can certainly book the chain hotels such as Hilton, Rixos, Kempinski, etc.

“Brochure-speak” can quite often confuse and even mis-lead a lot of guests! Here is a glossary of some common terms used in our itineraries: Visit – Your coach will stop and you’ll get to visit a specific site. View – A brief stop and an opportunity to take photos. See – Your coach will drive by the site so that you can see it. Sightseeing tour – Our Guide will accompany you on a tour of a city or site. Orientation tour – Typically provided by your guide, the places of interest are pointed out, allowing you to go and explore them on your own. Time to explore and discover – Free time on your own. A FREE day at leisure – No planned activities; time for optional excursions or other independent activities.

If you want to take your phone with you, there is a good chance that it will work in most major cities. Check with your service provider before you go if they have a reciprocal agreement with the countries you are travelling to, and make sure you remember to get international roaming turned on. To avoid excessive costs minimize your usage and especially ensure that your “Data Roaming” is turned off.. Please remember we provide free Internet Service on our coaches.

3. You & Your Travelling Companions

From time to time, we will offer special interest, small group tours. Our maximum number of guests is 20. Otherwise, all our tours are custom designed tours and the number of people is just your group. You have the option to nominate whether you want to do your daily tours in a group or as a private arrangement. If you pick group day tours, on average the number of guests on the day is sill 20.

If you enjoy flexibility, better quality, slower pace, more highlight inclusions, more free-time and enjoy learning about the cultural aspects of a country. as well as the wonderful food and wine of each with like-minded people then YES! We custom design our tours to your liking, in any season, any length, and work with your budget. It is very rare that our first cut custom design tour is right and we understand modifications, upgrades or downgrades may be required. Please continue to communicate with us until we get it perfect for you. Usually, we get it perfect just for you on the second or third version. Our tours get you closer to the places you are visiting with more time to enjoy them.
